Didn't they do well

We have some wonderfully talented children here at Oaklands. We are proud of them, and we want everyone to share in their success.

This week I have two success stories to share. I will create a new page soon where we keep a record of our successes.

Chloe Green
Chloe competed in the recent Buller Gorge half marathon. She was 3rd girl home in the under 20 category with a time of 3hr 5m.  Nice one, Chloe

Rebecca James
Rebecca’s under 11 Girls softball Team (Halswell A Under 11) won the Canterbury Qualifying Tournament which is the equivalent of the Canterbury Champs for their age group. This has given them entrance in the South Island tournament that will be held the week after Easter.
This was a close game going three innings which they won in extra time 10-9. Awesome, Rebecca

RUN / BIKE / RUN

Parent helpers: We will be walking to Westlake straight after the roll. Just pop into class when the bell goes.

Things to bring:  WARM top as it may get cold, hat, water bottle, sun cream, SUITABLE footwear for running, ample food for morning tea.

Bikes:    Students need their own bikes, the school does not have any to lend. Bikes MUST be in a good working condition - good brakes, pumped up tyres. A HELMET is a MUST.
